Today I'd like to share elaborate, creative and beautiful Easter Bonnets!
Easter Parades were quite popular! Women would be adorned with elaborate and whimsical Easter bonnets!
I found some from the olden days with an absolute sense of humor - what fun it must have been!
It encourages me to submit a new tradition to my family to create Easter Bonnets, and Hats (for the guys!)!
There are some creative hats adorned by men and children as well!
Another great Easter tradition to start is have the kid's (and adults too!) create Easter bonnets and hats at your Easter gathering! With hot glue and wire - anything is possible! (Adult supervision for hot glue use!) Maybe it can give you ideas to create your own and start your own tradition!
"In your Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it,
You'll be the grandest lady in the Easter parade.
I'll be all in clover and when they look you over,
I'll be the proudest fellow in the Easter parade.
On the Avenue, Fifth Avenue, the photographers will snap us,
And you'll find that you're in the *Rotogravure.
Oh, I could write a sonnet about your Easter bonnet,
And of the girl I'm taking to the Easter parade."
Irving Berlin
(*a sheet or magazine printed by Rotogravure, especially the color magazine of a Sunday newspaper)
