 Today's post...

Nightmare Before Christmas goodies from

THE BRADFORD EXCHANGE!

Never really was very interested in The Bradford Exchange. I think many of their items are overpriced,  and they suck people in with payment "installments" and monthly items have to be charged and shipped to your home in order to "complete the collection".

Criminal!

However. I do like a few of their Nightmare Before Christmas items!

I do not own any Bradford Exchange items, so I am not sure of the quality. Some appear to be very sloppy, painting and character expressions are off, and of course cheap China products.

I would recommend that if you are interested, check out Ebay, Mercari, or other 2nd owner sites to see the item in it's "true form' and more than likely cheaper in many cases.

I will share some of my favs!

Jack Skellington Solar Statue

$150

MY FAVORITE

Nightmare Before Christmas Tree Topper
$130

BTW - watch one of my fav handmade artists Murf's Models! A hilarious British man that creates Tim Burton and Disney characters using everyday items! I like his model of Jack on his sleigh way better!

Subscribe to him!
He's a hoot!

Jack Skellington and Seasonal Wreaths
$140

Nightmare Before Christmas Calendar
$60 EACH ISSUE

Nightmare Before Christmas Candelabra
$90 EACH ISSUE

Nightmare Before Christmas Lighted Sculpture
$250

Nightmare Before Christmas Train
$90 EACH ISSUE

Nightmare Before Christmas Wall Clock
$250

Nightmare Before Christmas Tabletop Tree
$65 EACH ISSUE

Jack and Sally Lamp
$220

Nightmare Before Christmas Village
BLACKLIGHT EDITION
$70 EACH ISSUE
I have to say - the blacklight village is my least favorite. The colors that the blacklight illuminates makes everything look cheap.

BUT prior to the the blacklight edition, The Bradford Exchange created a NON BLACKLIGHT EDITION which is way, way better - creepier and each house looks like a "prop" from the movie!
You can find them on Ebay!

Well - let me know which one is your favorite, and least favorite!

Also let me know if you have ever purchased from Bradford Exchange and if you'd recommend it!

I'm Back In Action!

It's been a very long time! TOO LONG!

After my last 2 shows, Sugar Plum HALLOWEEN and Creep It Real FESTIVE, we had major renovations planned for our master bedroom and master bath (the last rooms in our house to do), decided to enjoy a stress free Christmas (LOL), and both hubby and I are downsizing every inch of our big house and big property after 45 years of "collecting" and keeping stuff.
The downsizing has been quite a task. I'm still cleaning out stuff and it's MAY! Cupboards, closets, and cabinets, OH MY! I had no idea we had so much. Both hubby and I lost both our parents within the past 10 years, and the work and stress of going through their belongings that we obtained has been exhausting. Photos, photo albums, stamp collections, teacup collections, vintage items and other items that we have no idea what they are or what is their worth (if worth anything), and more stuff that is just is UGH. It's absolutely overwhelming.

We have asked our kid's whatever they'd like, they can have. But their generation isn't interested in items of the past. Family history items we are keeping, but there's way more to go through that just isn't worth the space it takes up.

On top of that I'm rescuing kittens that were found in a box in a trash truck. Yes, evil people suck and can rot in hell. I used to foster animals a lot for independent rescues 15 years ago. It's A LOT of work. Indeed they are cute, but it's WORK! I haven't done it in a while. They were 4 weeks old when they were found, they are now 8 weeks. Sleepless nights and bottles of kitten milk! Now they are in the "terrible two" stage! They are mischievous, destructive and whiny - but their adorable so there's no way I can get mad!

I'm also commissioned to create a Haunted Mansion display for Halloween at my brother's and sister-in-law's house in Yorba Linda this year. We did Pirates of the Caribbean for 2 years, complete success! (I'll post the video!). I'm a stickler for authencity, the displays HAVE TO BE LIKE THE DISNEYLAND RIDE (there's a tidbit of Disney World too), even down to the smell. We've been planning and preparing for the Haunted Mansion display for 2 years and I'm still currently collecting props, creating props, and hopefully able to create art dolls and sculptures pertaining to the Haunted Mansion ride which will be available for purchase at our Haunted Mansion East Lakes Yorba Linda! I WOULD SO LIVE IN EAST LAKES. Completely out of my price range and not enough storage space. But to live on a lake with a dock with a mint julep in hand - YUMMY! Plus, this community goes ALL OUT at Christmas. It's insane! And I already have the house I want in mind with my Nightmare Before Christmas display in my head. ENTIRELY EPIC. Maybe one day it'll happen...LOTTO!!!
I have missed posting on my blog a lot. But time RAN away from me. But I think I can get that time back! I just won't be able to post everyday as I had originally stated and hoped.

Please come back and check here and there for updates, stories, information and what-not's at least once a week - and I still plan to post about the Salem Witch trials and finish urban legends in America by state!

Also, to help clear out my studio and storage room to enable more room for new creations, I have lowered my prices SUPER LOW on my creations at my Etsy shop and offering FREE SHIPPING on purchases over $50! I am also offering free pickup in Santa Ana at my hubby's work!

Candle Man makes an appearance at the Haunted Mansion Anaheim!

The Candle Man or Candleman was an entity who would have appeared in the Museum of the Weird. In 2023, it began appearing in the Attic of the American Mansions to memorialize Rolly Crump.

You can see Candle Man to Rolly's left on the desk talking over Museum of the Weird with the ultimate Imagineer Walt Disney!

The Candle Man would have been a humanoid entity which would have appeared to be melting in-front of the eyes of guests. It would have had what appeared to be lit wicks on its head, shoulders and finger-tips and some concept art even shows it alongside other melting candle-men.

The creature appears in these comics under the moniker of the Candleman. It is used by the villainous Despoina to project herself in blue-flame, sending a warning to the protagonists that if they don't give her the Coffin Clock by the time the candle-man melts that they would suffer the consequences.

Haunted Mansion Holiday

In 2023, a small Candle Man figure was placed in the Attic with a gift tag for "Rolly" as a memorial to the Imagineer.

Haunted Mansion (Walt Disney World)

Do you see Candle man?!

On November 15, 2023, a small Candle Man figure was added to the attic's junk.

My daughter has recently been on the Haunted Holiday Mansion Anaheim ride this month - and she says if you blink you'll miss the Candle Man - so keep your
eyes wide open!

Rolly Crump will be greatly missed!
