Today's post I'm sharing a few Halloween items at Lowes that they are already are selling online!

They have a Haunted Mansion collection - and many of the items are already sold out (within hours). But I suspect more will be in inventory the closer we get to Halloween (134 days!)

I wish the designers of the Haunted Mansion had created different characters or created full size characters...and many are overpriced as well. But for lovers of Halloween - price isn't an issue!

I'm not into Mickey or Minnie Mouse - but these are adorable! Simple and spooky!

All the tombstones are remarkable STILL AVAILABLE...

I SUSPECT NOT FOR LONG - SO HOP TO IT!

Overpriced - yes, just a little - and could be a little larger.

DOG SOLD OUT

Sadly, the dog and cat tombstones are SOLD OUT. I purchased both, I had a shipping confirmation for both, HOWEVER - days later I received an email from Lowes asking me if I still wanted the dog tombstone...? 

In which I responded YES, OF COURSE I DO. 

However, I guess my transaction and shipping confirmation didn't met the inventory que.

 I AM SO PISSED. Got the cat - but no dog...YET.

Overpriced? YES. These are not lit, and not very tall. But, when you love Halloween, YOU BUY IT ANYWAYS.

I still can't get over how I received shipping conformation and no product...ugh.

CAT SOLD OUT

The Caretaker is still available. But how they sell him without the dog is a mystery. Literally just add a plastic mold of the dog. One cannot be without the other!

I am currently creating the dog!

The Knight - I got him last year. A little high in price but he looks and sounds great!

Wish they had created the Opera Singer this year, but instead they made...

CARTOONISH HITCHHIKING GHOSTS. 

I HATE THEM.

Why make this? I guess people like them because it's sold out, but I can't stand the look of them. I would pay the money to have all 3 but be full sized. 

Why toddler sized? 

Very very disappointed. 

And they look so cartoony, not spooky at all.

My opinion: BIG FAILURE

I wanted it - but at $170 wasn't sure - then I read a few reviews, in which all stated it's ABSOLUTELY NOISY - and not worth the $170 price. 

Plus all the screens came to them scratched and damaged.

NOW THE CORPSE BRIDE

LoWES VS SPIRIT HALLOWEEN

So I guess Lowes decided to design and create their own version of The Corpse Bride animatronics. 

Whoever did so, again my opinion: FAILURE

Compare Lowes versions below to Spirit Halloween versions further below 

(I have Spirit Halloween's Emily/Corpse Bride version - NO REGRETS!)

Lowes Emily version does has the maggot popping out of her eye - but, MEH - she's just not as pretty.

The prices are close - Spirit being higher, but the quality, color, details and movements are WAY BETTER

You be the judge!

But my biggest disappointment and heartbreak is SPARKY

He looks fabulous!

Has motion!

So happy to see yet another Tim Burton character available in prop form!

 BUT...

HE'S $130 

He's battery operated and less than 2 feet tall

AT $130

That $ is all for licensing.

So unfair to us consumers and lovers of Halloween and Tim Burton...

The Night Marchers (Huaka’i Pō)

The Night Marchers are arguably the most famous ghostly tale in Hawaii. According to legend, they are the spirits of ancient Hawaiian warriors who march at night, particularly during the new moon. 

Carrying torches and beating drums, they retrace the paths they once traveled in life. Encounters with them are said to be deadly unless you lie face down on the ground as a sign of respect. 

Witnesses claim to hear their footsteps, smell sulfur in the air, and see flickering lights in remote areas, especially near old battle sites.

In January of 2019, runners competing in the HURT 100 mile race (a grueling 20 mile loop through Oahu's Honolulu Mauka Trails) caught what some saw is am actual Night Marcher!

The runners were unaware what they had captured on film until their return to the mainland when reviewing their trip!

A Pirate Pistol Whip

Pirates of the Caribbean’s ride. 

We sat on the last row of the boat so no one was behind us. I sat on the left side of the boat. 

Right when we are approaching the big battle of the ships, I got bumped on the side of my head. 

No one was behind me and it came from behind. I wasn’t in the middle so it wasn’t the people sitting next me that bumped me. 

I was recording on my phone and upon review I noticed a dark shadow come in to view for just a few seconds when I got bumped on my head.
